Tulane ran very pleasingly today in the seven furlong maiden at Leicester. Appreciating the softer ground and step up in trip, he progressed from his debut to finish third beaten under a length by the winner. He looks like he will give his owners, The Tulanes, a lot of fun in the future and his liking for soft ground could be of benefit come the autumn.
Golden Deal ran with promise last night in the six furlong maiden at Windsor. Slowly away, she made headway in the last third of the race and will undoubtedly come on for this experience. Tom Queally reported that the soft ground would not have suited her as she is a good moving filly and we may well step her up to seven furlongs next time.
This daughter of Havana Gold is related to some nice winners and I am sure she will be giving her owner, Turrloo Parrett, much success in the future.
