Runners round up

Off to Doncaster again today to saddle Master Vintage in the first race.  Hopefully the step up in trip will suit but with few options about it looks a competitive event.  We will most probably go chasing after this run.  He is high enough in the handicap at present but Danny’s five pound claim will help.

After this it will be a dash to Uttoxeter for the last race where Celestial Magic runs with Danny once again onboard.  This is his first run since coming down on his chasing debut and hopefully a return to hurdles will suit.  He has won in similar conditions in the past but with top weight it will be a tough task.  However he appears in good form and we are hopeful once again of him giving us a good run.

Present From Dubai showed great promise in the novice hurdle at Doncaster yesterday, finishing second to the odds on favourite who now goes to Cheltenham.  He settled better on this occasion having pulled too hard on his bumper debut.  Once he learns to settle better, we can step him up in trip but we will probably stick to two miles for the time being and let us hope he continues to progress for the enthusiastic Hopeful Travellers partnership.

Timetobenefit was not suited by the slow early pace in the two mile handicap hurdle and with the field sprinting up the straight, things did not go her way.  However we will now step her up in trip which I am sure will bring out the best in her.

Muthabir hated the sticky ground in the three mile hurdle but Danny was not hard on him once not realising it was not going to be his day.  He is high enough in the weights at present but hopefully with spring approaching, he will find his ideal conditions and get back to winning ways for us.
