Off to Kempton to saddle Golden Deal

Off to Kempton today to saddle Golden Deal in the 4.40pm.  This is her first run in handicap company and hopefully if she settles, she will get the seven furlongs.  She ran well previously on the track and Timmy Murphy rides.

A busy work morning with Ian Popham and Danny Hiskett in to ride and owners Dave Mahon and Sue and Titch Jones.   There were some pleasing pieces of work and schooling in preparation for runners in the next couple of weeks.

Mighty Elsa ran with credit yesterday in the mares bumper at Southwell.  Despite running green Ian Popham was pleased with her response in the straight and she was not beaten that far by the leaders.  I’m sure she will come on for this race and we will probably run her in another bumper before going hurdling.

All at Adlestrop Stables were sad to say goodbye to our yardman, Ganga at the weekend.  He has been with us nearly ten years and was a very familiar face in the yard, especially as he was nearly always smiling.

Ganga has gone home to India to set up a milking business in his village but hopes to return in the future and we look forward to welcoming him back one day and wish him all the best in his new exciting venture.
