A memorable win for Madame Ritz
A memorable win for Madame Ritz at Wolverhampton last night. It was great to have so many of The Firebirds syndicate present to witness the great event. Joe Fanning gave her a fantastic ride from the front and he thought she was a wonderfully straight forward filly with a great attitude.
Hopefully there will be more fun and entertainment with her over the coming months. We will see how the handicapper assesses her before deciding on her next race.
As feared, with the ground drying out on a sharper track, Sheelbewhatsheelbe was outpaced for much of the race at Plumpton yesterday. However she stayed on from the last to finish fourth and we will now try and find a more galloping track for her.
She is hopefully on a mark she can be competitive off again once conditions are in her favour.
Arctic Chief is declared for Kempton on Thursday in the mile and a half novice stakes. Thanks to limited opportunities we are forced to run him quite quickly following his excellent third last week. However he seems bright in himself and after this run, he will be eligible for handicaps.
Martin Dwyer takes the ride and hopefully he will put up another good show in what looks a competitive event.
