Golden Deal off on Holiday
Golden Deal was beaten 8 lengths by the winner in the nursery at Kempton yesterday. Timmy Murphy reported she travelled very well to the straight, off what was a slowish pace and when the leaders quickened away she stayed on at one pace to the line.
Timmy thought she was still on the weak side and she will now be put away for a winters break to develop as her siblings have all won at three.
Lots of debate about the compulsory declaration of wind surgeries. Although I don’t have a strong opinion either way, I do believe the education of the racing public is an essential part of getting and keeping people interested in the sport and the more we educate the public on why we do these operations and how they affect performance, the better it will be for everyone.
However when it comes to betting on horses, I think the more you know the worse it is.
