Cheltenham Eve

It’s like Christmas Eve with Cheltenham about to start.  All the drama of declarations with Douvan now running in the Queen Mother and Altior having a poultice on his foot.

The Cheltenham Previews continue and I was pleased to be on handicapper Phil Smith’s panel last night with Sam Twiston-Davies, Lee Mottershead and Andy Smith.

The ground will be very soft tomorrow so back accordingly.  Hoping Kalashnikov and Any Second Now can go in either side of Buveur D’Air in the Champion Hurdle.

Master Vintage was disappointing yesterday at Warwick.  He was not that keen to jump off and never travelled with his normal enthusiasm.  The ground was pretty desperate and having had a wind op in the past, I am sure this will not have helped.  We will do some tests and hope to come up with a reason.

No runners at Cheltenham but we have our eye on Towcester on Thursday.  I hope you all have a great time and back lots of winners.
